Fire reflects heat back up to cabin.  You can set up a tent inside, and there are many different options with this design.

It would also be a great structure to use for winter camping.  I like the way it is built with a floor that is off the ground.   It would also provide excellent wind blocking capabilities, so cooking with a camp stove would be a breeze.  I would like to make this style of lean -to at my deer hunting camp.  The design is ancient and proven to work in a harsh climate.  Long live the lean-to cabin!

I think these would be great for hunting camps!
