The process involved with stick and poke tattoos involves ink from the art store, a needle, some thread, rubbing alcohol, matches, and a few more items. It is an activity despised by professional tattoo artists, but still common among many groups today. I think traditional tattooing, before the electric guns, must have involved some of the elements used in stick and poke tattooing.
