Cleveland County Initiative: Become a Certified Work Ready Community

North Carolina has launched a statewide initiative to endorse communities and counties as NCWorks Certified Work Ready Communities.
Officials from Cleveland Community College, along with other local agencies, are working to obtain the designation.
“Currently there are only two certified counties in North Carolina,” said Ken Mooney, vice president of continuing education at Cleveland Community College. “I think if we get our business community behind this effort, Cleveland County can be one of the next counties in the state to receive this important recognition and designation.”
